Independent Dealer Disclosure
Down South Timepieces is an independent retailer specializing in the buying, selling, sourcing, and servicing of pre-owned luxury timepieces. We are not an authorized dealer for Audemars Piguet, Breitling, Cartier, IWC, Omega, Patek Philippe, Rolex, Tudor, or any other watch brand.
These brands are not affiliated with Down South Timepieces, and their names and trademarks are used for identification purposes only. Manufacturer warranties are not transferable through Down South Timepieces, and the original manufacturer warranty does not apply to watches purchased through us.
Down South Timepieces is an independent entity and is not endorsed, sponsored, or affiliated with any watch manufacturer.
The DST Warranty
In place of a manufacturer warranty, Down South Timepieces provides its own warranty directly to you, the buyer. Our warranty is our personal commitment to you that the watch you purchased is as described and functions as expected.
The DST warranty covers:
- Authenticity — Every watch we sell is guaranteed to be genuine. If a watch purchased from us is independently verified by a qualified expert to be counterfeit, we will issue a full refund or replacement at our discretion.
- Accuracy of description — We represent each watch as accurately as possible, including condition, reference number, production year (where known), and included accessories. If a watch materially differs from how it was described to you at time of sale, contact us.
- Mechanical function — Watches sold by DST are checked to confirm they are running and functioning at the time of sale. If a mechanical issue that was pre-existing and not disclosed becomes apparent within a reasonable period after purchase, reach out to us and we will work with you to make it right.
What the DST Warranty Does Not Cover
Our warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, including scratches, dings, or bracelet stretch that occur after delivery
- Damage caused by misuse, impact, water exposure beyond the watch's rated resistance, or improper handling
- Issues resulting from unauthorized service or modifications performed after purchase
- Watches purchased for parts or sold explicitly as-is or non-running
- Battery replacements (where applicable)
How to Make a Warranty Claim
If you believe you have a warranty claim, please contact us as soon as possible. We ask that you:
- Reach out by email or phone with your name, the watch purchased, and a description of the issue.
- Provide photos or documentation supporting your claim.
- Do not send the watch back without first receiving written authorization from us.
- If a return or repair is authorized, ship the watch securely and insured (see our Shipping Policy).
We will review every claim in good faith and respond promptly. Our goal is for every customer to feel confident in the watches they buy from us.
Repair & Service Warranty
Work performed by Down South Timepieces or our trusted service partners is warranted against defects in workmanship for a period communicated at the time of service. This applies only to the specific work performed — it does not cover unrelated issues or damage occurring after the watch is returned to you.
